    Dream Bosses

If you could make any kinda boss in a game, what would it be?

For me, it would be a final boss for a platformer Ke's Tales game. Picture this, a fifty-foot giant monster version of Byron Vante (character from the series; see my Ke's Tales Short Story or my Xantu: Creature of Sin thread(s)) It would be in the middle of a city and My Chemical Romance's "Welcome to the Black Parade" would be playing in the background (right around the 1:40, where the song really picks up).

    ...But that's just me.

( To self: ) Wow, that was awkard.

For me, a dream boss fight wouldn't be a one-on-one fight at the end of a level, it'd be this:

Picture a Devil May Cry game where you can control Both Dante and Nero in the style of the Fight against Arkham in DMC3. They'd be on a catwalk 20 feet above an arena filled to the brink with demons (a sorts of demons) as the 2 head down the platform, they're jumped by not one, but 2 Gigapedes. Soon, demons jump up from below and attack. as Dante and Nero continue down the catwalk, Agni and Rudra show up. Eventually, Dante and Nero make it to a huge open platform surrounded by lava. Then Trish, Lady and Vergil would appear. a Quick cutscene would progress, then every single boss from DMC 1 and 3 would appear, folllowed by an army of demons! What follows is the most epic boss battles in the entire DMC saga, as everybody except Dante is cotrolled by the game's AI in the style of the end credits battle in DMC3, but you'd be able to switch over to any of the five characters.

EDIT: Oh, and I forgot the music. The song "Bodies" by drowning pool would play during the fight.

My dream boss would be a winged black mage with one black wing and one white wing, with the background some kind of otherworldly pattern like the battlefield VS Mewtwo from Pokemon Stadium 1. For battle music, probably Bizarro Sephiroth's music ("The Birth Of A God") or the Dialga/Palkia battle music from Spear Pillar.

Just cuz I like Pokemon, doesn't mean I have a problem. I love Pokemon.

Oh, forgot to mention the mage would look like the Vivi, the one from FFT, and the first few Final Fantasies.

Have you even listened to "Welcome to the Black Parade", or are you just making a generalization of the band? Granted, that's one of the very few My Chemical Romance songs I like, but it still goes with this battle.

And do you have any dream boss fights or not (out of curiosity)?

Not really, but if I did I'd try not to pair them with pre-existing music. It just reeks of the same sort of craft that the thousands of anime music videos on Youtube have. Pairing Kingdom Hearts up with a Linkin Park song? SURE.

And I have heard that song. And I find it annoying.

To each his or her own.

Oh, I didn't mean to pair up a published song with it, but it just...well...fit.

                  Re: Dream Bosses

Dream Boss? Hmm... It would involve a character of my own making, and it would probably be a 3d fighting game similar to the Boudakai Tenkaichi games. The music would be classical, probably of a style from the Baroque era. A Latin choir would accompany the orchestra. The song would be something like Gustav Holst's Mars, O Fortuna, and would have a dramatic opening that inspires fear, awe, and respect all-in-one; The first 15 seconds of One Winged Angel(Advent Children) are a good example of that.

The enemy you face would be Oru. An immense man, the result of Amon Kahn absorbing the soul and life force of Gismar StormWeaver (guess where I got my name ). His nervous system (eyes and brain) has transformed into a light blue energy, his face is cracking near the eyes and the cracks glow light blue. The same blue light can be seen coming out his throat when he speaks.

An opening cutscene would show the main character(s) running into a room, or down a corridor, or across a ruined city, when suddenly Oru walks into the path ahead. The scene would instantly slow down and the terrorizing intro of the music would begin. The characters horrified faces would be shown, and Oru would attack. Let the battle begin!

Wow, that was longer than I had thought!

The thing with me is that I like to have video game original songs as songs in video games. If it's a song not originally from a video game, I seem to bypass it. It isn't a bad song, though. I picture the battlefield in my head, 162, and it looks amazing.

Just stating my opinion. If it offends, sorry. If it impresses, cool. Anyway, anyone else, got cool ideas? I'm thinking of one...

My dream boss would be a Squierl that was very dramatic with evreything it did and had way to many sound effects when it moved/talked.
