Re: I have a new puppy!
For the past week and 1/2, people have been giving me a hard time about how I mispell or mess up the pronounciation, and I'm in no mood to give a damn about how to spell words. But that's off topicOriginally posted by Big Rick Cook View PostElectro-shock therapy and lots of nose-thumping.
Also, you spelled Labrador correctly, but why would you not want to know how to spell it if you'd spelled it wrong? That's ****ing lame.

Re: I have a new puppy!
We just got a puppy a few months ago.
The best way to train a puppy is to get a pet transporter and keep the dog in there for the first few weeks and let him out every few hours and increase those hours as the weeks pass...I did this and it worked, never had him pee on the floor, now he runs around the house all the time and never have accidents.
Doing this helps him understand that he does his business outside since a dog wont poop in the same area he lays, it also teaches him how to hold it for extended periods of time.

Re: I have a new puppy!
JPS' advice is perfect. A good thing to remember is to be firm when he misbehaves, but not cruel. A good punishment is putting him in the kennel, and ALWAYS punish him immediately after he misbehaves. If you wait to long he will not understand what he is being punished for (too long is anything more than 4-5 seconds, seriously). If you discover the deed after it is done then you remind him of it, then punish him.
If you love him when he is good, and be stern in his punishment for doing wrong, he'll love you AND behave properly, because YOU will be in-charge.stodi no na ka cenba

I guess I'm DEAD AND HOLLOOOW inside, because I have no idea what movie that's from.Originally posted by Big Rick Cook View PostEverybody loves that movie. Or they're DEAD AND HOLLOOOW inside.
Also, Odie's been nuetered. I have mixed feelings about spraying and nuetering. While I understand the wnat to prevent unwanted litters, there's been a flamboyant use of it for the pasty few months (it'snot on the news, though). Everytime a cat/dog/ other cute and furry animal is found by families/pound guys/ other people like that, it's taken to be sprayed or nuetered. Pretty soon, cats and dogs will become extinct because almost everyone doesn't want them to have the joy of children .*looks squarely at Bob Barker*
What's suprising (or maybe it was inevitable) is that a few months ago there was talk about a woman who forcefully had her daughter taken to a hospital to be made temporarily unable to have children. FORCEFULLY!! Now everyine's gonna want their children to ber unable to have kids, and the government is gonna send them to die in Iraq. America sucks!
