    Some obvious choices (1998, 2001) and some not-so-obvious ones.

    Sure makes me wanna go back in time.

    Very nice video, and mostly defensible picks, though I really have to disagree with their choice for #1.

          Besides Mass Effect, Final Fantasy Tactics: WotL and Persona 3 what was notable??

          And Final Fantasy Tactics was first released in ... 1998. Along with Res Evil 2, Xenogears and a ton of other wonderful games.

          He also glossed over Starcraft's impact in 1998.

          It's not like he's gonna name every single game.

                I don't know, 08 is already shaping up to be a pretty awesome year. We already got Brawl and No More Heroes, we'll have GTA4 and Mario Kart next week, MGS4 in about a month and a half. Little Big Planet and Killzone 2. Maybe Starcraft 2, probably not FF13 but at least Fallout 3. Oh, Gears of War 2, Ninja Gaiden 2, and Resident Evil 5.

                That's just the big media titles, not sure about the Wii's fall schedule, can't even name a game off the top of my head.

                  2007 was GREAT.

                  And Chrono is right: 2008 is shaping up for another HUGE year. Spore is going to be GREAT!
