You mostly hear the press say it, and game publishers as an excuse for why their terrible games dont sell on the system.

Well, they'd better start saying the same thing about the DS, PS3 and PSP. which are behind the Wii.

I've never said that. I've said the games that people are buying aren't worth it and people are stupid for spending $50 bucks on them.

Earlier this week NY Times was saying Wii had a lower tie ratio than PS3 and 360. Can't blame them though. It was the source.

The average Wii owner buys only 3.7 games a year, compared with 4.7 for Xbox 360 owners and 4.6 for PlayStation 3 owners, said a Wedbush Morgan analyst, Michael Pachter.

Super Mario Galaxy, Wii Play (for the extra Wiimote), Zelda, Smash Brawl, and Wii Sports. Does Carnival Games count as a 1/3rd of a game?


That said, I'd love to see what the average amount of Nintendo games are the ratio for that average.

The Wii has a decent enough line-up right now, even if it is just a GameCbue re-tread. But I sold all that stuff so I'm okay with that.

Not much else on the horizon though...

I don't understand. Neither Sony, nor Microsoft has as many video game franchises. Just because Nintendo DOES that makes thier games BAD?

It's bad for guys like me because I'm not Japanese.

Besides that, the tone of the system kind of determines the majority of games that come out for it. You won't be seeing another game like No More Heroes or Zack & Wiki (which was actually "wii friendly" but still too different) anytime soon because it didn't sell jack...meanwhile, Carnival Games rakes.
