A simple question really. I know a lot of us are hurting, and the economy sucks, but is spending out stimulus package coming to us in the mail the right thing to do? I know the nature of the marketplace is to be selfish, and do w/ it whatever you want to, but it seems to me we should be spending this money IF WE CAN AFFORD TO (very important part of it right there). What do you guys think?

Re: Is spending your stimulus the right thing to do?
Its not even free money, from what I heard its from a bill congress has already passed that suppose to increase tax returns next year, but the government is simply giving it to us early to try to stimulate the economy...if the economy wasnt going to **** we'd be getting it next year.
Anyways, money is for spending, **** bonds, **** saving it, **** paying off bills, it's my turn to enjoy myself.
Im getting $1800, I can either buy 2 great hookers, 4 okay hookers, 10 meh hookers or 1800 sucky hookers...but I never underestimate the power of cheap hookers in large numbers.Last edited by JPS; 04-25-2008, 06:16 PM.

The economic analysis I've seen seems to indicate that this "stimulus" isn't big enough to move the economy along one way or another, so it doesn't really matter what you do with it, in the grand scope. So you're a fish out of water...
Keep swimming.
What else can you do?

I'd go for the 1800 sucky ones. Even if the night was bad, at least you can say you had sex with 1800 different women in [insert short period of time here].Quote of the moment - "When you cut down a tree, don't stand near it."

I think what ever you spend your money on, isn't going to help the economy. Most of our money is spent towards stuff that isn't made in the US, which just profits other countries.
It won't help in the long road, unless we start looking towards building jobs here that other countries would want to invest in and buy from.
