Wii online question

Ok, for some reason my Wi-Fi USB Connector is saying that my Wii is connecting, but the connection test fails everytime.

While it could be my computer, since it is messed up.

Any ideas on what the wired connection means? I was never able to find a modem port on the wii...so what does Wired Connection mean?

The LAN Adaptor for the system plugs into a USB port on the system
to create the wired connection, I believe.

It's sold separately.

I think the online component only works with broadband if I am not mistaken.

I am guessing it is just my computer that is causing the problems then.
