    I GOTS A NEW JOB!

    Woopeeeeee.

    I got a job in the kitchen today at this place called Executive Inn out here in Kamloops. Its a fancy hotel/small casino/restaurant/banquet halll. I was interviewed by the head chef and the kitchen manager. The chef seemed kinda upity and was very "I dunno if we should hire you...." through the whole thing, but he ended up saying he'll give me a shot. Hell yeah. No more small time restaraunt stuff! A nice clean kitchen! A place I can be proud to tell people where I work! At least I hope so anyway.

    Its all union too. Ive never had a union job. I only made $11/hr at my last place after 2 years, and here Ill be making $11.60/hr to start. Apparently the longer you stay the higher percentage of the maximum you can make, you get paid. So im on a 90 day deal with new employees where I only make 60% or something. But after those 90 days Ill make 80% or something, and after about a year Ill be at about $16 which isnt that bad at all. Itll be the best paying job Ive had yet.

    Only thing is it seems they are starting me off in mornings. I HATE mornings. This wednesday at 6am, which means I gotta LEAVE home at a little past 5am. Blargh. Im usually still awake after being up all night then!

    Oh well, new job! WOOOOOOOO!

        My brother got invited to try out for there Midget Triple A hockey team last year, and probally agian this year.

            I get up at 4am, leave at 5am, start work at 6am, get off at 6pm, get home at 7pm.

            Youll get used to it quickly. I just hated the 2 hours of prep before opening when I worked at a restaurant

              Whatever. I am calling you a *****. Any person you like would of gotten away with that comment. It had to with Kamloops, and I find contributions like that are commonly found in topics. I should of said grats for crunk though. But I figured that went without saying...

                Congratulations! ^_^ I'm so happy for you. Getting up early really sucks, but when you get into the schedual, it really isn't that bad. :P

                    Oh Im totally used to messed up kitchen hours. Almost all of last summer on sat, and sun, I would come in at 7am, setup for breakfast and start prep/cook breakfast orders, setup for lunch at11am, cook lunch from 11-2, then close down the lunch stuff and go home, then come back at 5pm and work till 10pm. Then get up to do it all over again on sunday! ****ing sucked ass yo.

                    The 12 hour total hours kinda blew, but I can deal with 12. It was that 3 hour break in the middle just sitting there knowing you have to go back for a second round soon that was mentally draining.

                        Oh boo hoo, like I care. Maybe if you used proper grammer and used their instead of there, I would've realized you were referencing Kamloops.

                              No, Porkchop kinda *****ed him out with little to no provocation. His comment was still pretty on-topic, and I'm fairly sure that if highwind or yourself had made the exact same post (the midget league one) she wouldn't have been half as rude.

                              Usually when Rathman gets yelled at, its because he is being a prick, but not this time.

                              P.S. He was talking about kamloo. Crunk's new job is near there, and Karr mentioned that Meanie lives in kamloo. Thus the connection. It seems it wasn't as obvious to you and PC, or to Valk
