    I'm hopefully back on track

As you may (or not) have noticed, I stopped my regular progress reports some weeks ago. This is simply because there haven't been any kind of progress.
So, while I get back on track and continue working in my project, I was wondering about certain things. The first one doesn't have anything to do with the game (as in, it won't affect any decision I make in my current project) but the second one obviously does.
You may answer (or not) as a player or a game maker.

What do you thin it's harder to make: a serious game, or a comedy game?
Which one you prefer the most?

Since in my game (Rincar) all battles are event battles, there's no way of fleeing from them, so I've been thinking of setting them up in a way that you could avoid them if you decide to pay a small monetary amount
Do you think it would be worth to implement this idea?

So what's a "Coqui"? Cause I'm pronouncing it like cocky.

It's the name of a small singing tree frog. They make a sound similar to their name, which you kind of pronounced it well (co.CKY). It was believed they could only live in Puerto Rico, since when they were taken out of here, they died. But it seems they survived Hawaii's climate, and are like a plague there.

I was pronouncing it "Co kwii"

As to your question about serious and comedic games, it depends on the designer. If comedy comes easy to you then making a silly game will be easy. If you are better at developing more serious/mature ideas, themes and plots then a serious game is right for you.

Personally, I'm both. I deal with difficult situations by making light of them, but I am perfectly capable of seriousness. It just takes alittle more thought, atleast when it comes to writting, be it for games or otherwise.

Getting back on track, I think that's a cool idea, Guarionex.

Heh, I never realized the word coqui could bring a bit of confusion. But then again, I never thought people would have trouble spelling Guarionex either. (And for those reading, you can call me just Nex)

Anyway, I was just curious. My game is a comedic game, but sometimes I realize that while setting up scenes, they might end up waay to serious for the tone of my game. (It happened in the intro, which I ended up lightening up with small details like the radio)
