The sprites are pretty small in VX. Can I add larger sprites?

EDIT: Character sprites

Damn it. Importing is such a hassle for me. I need help, I can't import sprites since it imports chunks or pieces of it.

I'm not entirely sure that you can use the super huge characters on VX, the size of the characters in the RTP may or may not actually be the size the characters are meant to be. So, if you downloaded a character thats 2x the size of the normal ones, it might only use half of it because the game is programmed to only use those small characters. Keep in mind that I'm not entirely sure on this, I'm just attempting to make a logical guess.

I dont think you can use sprites bigger than the default ones.

One (of many) reasons I prefer XP. you can have the sprites be as big as you want.

RMVX has a few sprites bigger than the regular characters, though, including one "hidden" spriteset that you have to import to use. I'm not sure how it recognizes that they're different, though.

It tells how it manages character size. So yes, characters can be any size. You just have to make the image the right size, and be sure to insert the '!' and/or the '$' prefix to the front of the image's name.

As a side-note, I'm liking RMVX. It has some nifty features we could've used in RMXP. My only real complaint is that they don't have a sprite for every monster like in RMXP, and likewise no regular characters have monster versions. I'll definately be using it for the Pav's contest...if I can think of something to make.

I cant believe that VX is already out...although i'm not seeing enough advantages over XP to make me want to buy it.
