    Buyer Beware (PSP Memory Sticks)

Fairly old news but I thought I'd ressurect it considering all PSP discuassion as of late.

If you bought it on the internet, chances are you got cheated.

(anyone have any better guides feel free to post them)

I just bought an 8GB off of Amazon and I read this guide carefully and all the signs seem to be pointing towards it being a real one, but I'm still a little wary about it all. How does this even happen?

I'd say the most reliable places to buy cards on-line would probably be frys or newegg. Amazon *maybe* but chances of getting cheated are probably more than these places seeming as there are multipe sellers like on eBay. Never buy a card on eBay.

So... what? People are buying 1gb and selling them online claiming they're 4 and 8gb?

something like this i buy from a brick and mortar store. i dont do my shopping online. games or products you cant easily find in stores anymore are the things i use ebay or amazon for. reasons like this are why and even then, im still buying something from a stranger, so 100% satisfaction isnt guaranteed, i dont care what someone claims or how much positive feedback they have.

The articles were 10 paragraphs of nothing being said.

          BUYER BEWARE + 1,000 words

I could have summed up in the entire thing in one sentence: ebayers are selling fake memory sticks these are the only people you can trust - links.

I found the answer to your question by just scanning the article. YOU, TOO, CAN DO THE SAME.

The first three paragraphs reiterate one single statement: you can't trust ebay people. The next paragraph tells you 98% of all auctions for memory sticks are fake. He never elaborates on the word fake but takes another paragraph to say that the size on the memory sticks are overstated whatever the hell that means. It then takes another paragraph to say that the memory sticks themselves are REAL but the memory on them isn't what is claimed or they're an off brand. The next paragraph links to other articles which say the same thing.

I shouldn't have to skim 10 paragraphs to understand something that takes a single sentence to get out. You'd think it would be better written for such an important statement.
