And I beat it in one 8 hour sitting.

I wish I knew why chief was falling from space or something in the begining. Was there some weird viral marketing thing you had to uncover? Cause I remember that thing on the Bungie site that was like a giant diorama with halo toys all over the place that you could zip through with a camera and read little journals from people. The whole city was destroyed and a warzone. Then at the end you see Master Chief captured? What became of that?

The whole thing seemed very "Meh, it was alright." All the parts where you had to drive vehicles where pretty fun though.

I've been saying that for years (that Halo is mediocre).

I never saw a movie/played a game called Marathon, but the end of 3 is pretty much the same as the end of 1.

Its a "Full Circle" kinda thing.

Yeah, you wake up as a super soldier cyborg in the year 2700, or a year close to that, out of cryo sleep on a ship, with computer AI's that are going nuts being controlled by some alien slave traders invading the ship your on, called the Marathon.

At the end of Halo 3, Chief is stranded outside the milkyway galaxy on part of a ship. Cortana says it could be hundreds of years before they are found. He then clilmbs into a cryo chamber, and tells Cortana to wake him up when hes needed. The year is in the 2500's.

Makes you wonder if they're going to do a Marathon remake... though I hope they don't. I've seen enough rehashed crap these days.

They sorta did. You can get Marathon over the Xbox Live Arcade, and its got totally redone graphics for like $10.
