Wow.

Your new look was obviously a lot of work.

Very well done. Congrtaulations.

However, I miss the Angry Pharaoh! I also liked the old color scheme better. This one is so dark. The old look was unique, while this resembles other boards. This is just my opinion and I trust everyone knows I still respect the work of the moderators and designers here.

But as long as you (those who actually run the place) like it better, that is all that counts.

Your hard work is obvious. I'll look around for new features now that I'm over the new look.

Peace.

You can select the old color scheme by going to the lower left corner of the screen, where there's a drop down menu (That currently says "New Age Pavilion") and changing it back to Blue Emerald.

I dont much care for it as-is either. Valk didnt want to delay it any longer so we just went with what we had. there's a whole new button and icon set it the works, and the site name still needs to be smoothed out, and a glow effect still needs to be added to the top bar. The goal was to just make sure this worked better than the blue emerald style which has a ton of bugs in it. I dont think there are any programming problems in this one. the biggest problem we had was just getting the color table to stand out even with dark colors.

It's still much gentler on the eyes.

Yes, It is very easy on the eyes. Which is good, because I plan on spending a lot of time here ^_^.

Hmm, the post auto-resizing seems to be gone. You know, where even if a post has a big picture that extends the box past the right edge of the screen, every other post will still fit all the way inside the screen. At least I think this was the board that had that.

we never had auto-resizing. big images just stretched that post's table before. it does the same now.

But the other posts on the same page weren't stretched, right?

Sorry to interrupt, Draygone, but I just realized that when I started this thread I commited the sin of criticizing without offering a way to make it better.

I think the thing that made the old look unique was not so much the color scheme as the graphics.

I mentioned that I missed our Angry Pharaoh. Well, I suggest a character from each of the RPG Makers to date interacting in some contrived way. You could use the Angry Pharaoh again, The Treeman so many folk here love from RPGM3 and a nifty character (or sprite) from RPGM1.

Just a thought. It might bring back the feel of the old pavilion with all the improved functionality of the new.

Oh and Draygone, I seem to recall that you are right. There were some tables that were bigger than others in the old look. But that is just the foggy memory of an old hippie, so don't put any money on it!

Peace.

you're not old. me and you frequent another message board where we both have different usernames. well, at least I think it's you. that other account has the same avatar, and I think no one else has that avatar. anyways, at that other place you filled out your age in your profile. you arent that old. :lol

anyways back on topic. I dont intend to add any RPG Maker related graphics to this layout. If we can get some RPG Maker 3 character art from agetec then I'll make a new one that uses it.

I should be Rodak at all three Message Boards I frequent.

If there is another person playing Rodak (the name of the Distinguished Individual in the picture) (He's from The Space Giants!) the more the merrier.

But if it is not Rodak, it is not me.

Anyway, your'e only as old as you feel and I have spent 15 years running a Business, 2 years Editing, and 9 years as a Chemist after taking a break of a few years to go back to school (tutoring to support myself). After that I may feel older than most in their early forties (OOH! I said it!).

Peace.

Oh yeah, I don't care what graphics you use. But some, as opposed to none, would be nice.

strange. the other person has the exact same image as you as their avatar.

strange. the other person has the exact same image as you as their avatar.

I just checked the other boards I use and I am definately Rodak everywhere.

Are you sure they have another name? Do they sign "MOO!"? Are they in NJ? The board that would not let me register without stating my age (grr) also did not have enough space for "Deep In The Bowels Of" NJ and had to settle for "Strandeden".

I want to meet them if they are not me!

Is the plural appropriate there?

Any fan of Space Giants can't be all bad. Some folks here owe Space Giants more than they may realize. It was the first "Transformers" show, even though it was a live action rubber suit monster show (like Ultraman). Osamu Tezuka (the Walt Disney of Japan) created it and it was his only live action show. The robots transformed into rockets.

Rodak wanted to conquer The Earth because it was so beautiful. All the other planets he conquered were "barren and ugly" and he needed to add The Earth "to his collection".

But I digress.

The new look is growing on me. It just takes a little getting used to it.

Peace.

Rodack was also the name of the armed anarchist professor in Edward Abbey's sci fi novel Good News. Very similar to Rodak, of which at first I thought you derived your name from that book, until I noted the mispelling.

The new look is great. The other one was a bit to bright for my tastes. But yeah, you should put the pharoh, or some other RPGMaker 2 character model at the top.
