I've been really enjoying it. The story is kinda meh, but the glaive itself is pretty fun. I'm using that more than the guns you can find, except at parts where you really need it (rocket launcher against a helicopter, ect.). You can buy new weapons and upgrade them with parts you find throughout the game.
The reviews comparing it to Gears of War make sense, you do get that feeling from the gameplay and look of the levels. It even has it when you hang onto a wall, you can press left or right then A to dash and find cover on the nearest wall (though it doesn't make you stick to it for long) and pressing up then A makes you dash around around the corner.
And like Army of Two, this game also included the option of jumping over objects first. No one is jumping like rabbits.
There's only two online modes. Epidemic has two teams, where 1 member from each is chosen at random to play as the main character, Hayden, which as the team leader. Basically he's the most powerful character to play as online while everyone else is the random enemy from single player mode. You get points for killing people, but the main focus is to kill that team's leader.
The other mode is Infection. This one's my favorite, because the dark theme, levels, the screams as someone dies, just fit really well. It's kinda spooky, actually. Basically at the start of the match, one guy is chosen at random to play as the fully infected Hayden (all of his skills are unlocked). Your throwing the glaive can kill a guy instantly, any guns you pick up do more damage than everyone else's, you can go invisible, spawn a temporary shield against bullets, and i'm not sure if there's anything else he has. But it's 1 man (the infected) against everyone. So everyone not infected is supposed to work together as a team to take down the infected, but it's the guy who gets an actual kill that receives the most points. Whoever kills the infected becomes infected the next round.
And the dude who plays as Lex Luthor in Smallville does the voice of Hayden.

I think the charging mechanic is terrible though.
