I already have a USB keyboard and I'm getting a Max Drive for RM3 so should I go ahead and get RM2 just for the sake of having it? I don't plan to make a game for it because it sounds extremely complicated and I REALLY dislike the graphics. I'd just have it to play other people's games but it seems like there are very few out there. Then again it's only $18 from GameStop. So what do you guys think? Just go ahead and get it or don't bother?

Re: Should I get RM2?
I'd say go ahead and get it. Even with RPGM3 coming out, I'm sure there will still be some people making games for it."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."

Re: Should I get RM2?
Well, personally, I kind of like them a bit more than what RPG Maker 1 has to offer. I mean, sure you can make games that look like absolute crap, but with some nice visual effects and maybe some scenery for a little touch up, I'm sure you can make a game that looks good.I REALLY dislike the graphics.
Yes, buy RPG Maker 2 for the sake of playing the games made with it and games that are being made.Last edited by Hedrum; 05-24-2005, 05:10 PM.

Re: Should I get RM2?
Well thats really a hard question. RPG Maker 2 is a great rpg making game and has some things RPGM3 wont feature. Also as people kept making games on RPGM1 I'm sure RPGM2 wont be forgotten. If its only 18 dollars just buy it for the sake of having acess for playing RPGM2 games made by other people.

Re: Should I get RM2?
i ordered RPG Maker 2 from Gamestop.com yesterday. According to the local store searcher they have it was available at one of my local GameStop's right up until yesterday. Guess somebody else bought it. I'll have to wait 5-10 days to get mine now. When it comes in I'll go buy an Action Replay Max Evo.I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!

Re: Should I get RM2?
Max Evo is basically Max Drive with a new feature. The blue disc for the ps2 though can hardly be read, as I had to constantly re-insert it, otherwise i get a "Insert Formatted PS2 disc". So I experimented and put in Max Drive's disc *my max drive broke, so i kept the discs and bought a Evo*, and viola, it worked with the Evo.
10 dollars or so is worth it if you are looking for a DVD or game burning disc that only runs sega or some other games on it, but otherwise, I'd go with the Max Drive.I love lamp.

Re: Should I get RM2?
Yes, you should get RPG Maker 2. RPG Maker 3 won't be a successor to RPG Maker 2, and you should get it for the sake of playing other people's games on it if anything, as I and a few others will be making some awesome games.
The AR max evo edition is AR max, with a 16 MB memory card and a few other features. It also allows you to play video and audio files from a USB drive, or a CD.Quote of the moment - "When you cut down a tree, don't stand near it."
