I picked up the DVD and the Metal Gear Online beta code yesterday from Gamestop. Apparently, Sony knew in advance that the Playstation Store was going to be down (in terms of new releases) in early/mid April, because in the instructions for downloading the beta, it says that it will be available for download on April 13th, which, if memory serves, is the same day the Playstation Store's new facelift goes live.

Re: Anyone else preorder MGS4?
Maybe this beta will be one of the first games I actually PLAY online on either the 360 or the PS3 (well, the first shooter I play online, anyway...mainly, I've only played Hardwood Spades, Eye of Judgment, and a few other XBLA games online. I've yet to play a shooter online this generation.

Re: Anyone else preorder MGS4?
Hey...I wonder if it's possible to transfer my preorder to the special edition version. When I preordered it, I was not aware there even WAS a limited edition version, but when I listened to the message from Gamestop on my voicemail, the limited edition version sure sounds enticing.
Plus, it's probably the standard $10 more, right?Last edited by Perversion; 04-08-2008, 11:20 PM.

You can. My brother in law did so.Hey...I wonder if it's possible to transfer my preorder to the special edition version.
the special edition is 85 dollars, the preorder price is 10.
worth it though. metal case, soundtrack, gamestop exclusive art book, and a blu ray disc containing two documentaries and 4 chapters of the graphic novel.
85 is a steal.Last edited by Valkysas; 04-08-2008, 11:41 PM.
