I know there have been threads about this, and I've read through them, but I was wondering if anyone has some really out of the box ideas for puzzles. I've made like 10 in the past couple days and I'm starting to run out of ideas. I figure it's been a while since this has been discussed so people might have thought up some new ones. Just to kick off some ideas I'll list a couple I made.

1. In a dungeon there is a control that switches the rooms lighting. When you go downstairs it's just a striaght hallway that leads to more stairs. I put an event in front of them. If you don't have the right lighting selected that event will simulate stairs exactly, but warp you just to the begining of that hallway.

2. Have 6 swords layed out in a dungeon. Each sword represents a number value. All around the room there are signs that have some thing like... Sign 1 (5x) sign 2 (3-) etc... until the last one has an equal sign =. The signs are a math problem and one of the swords equal the answer. Thing is you only get two chances to answer correctly or the best katana in the game is gone for good.

Your turn. I could really use the ideas.

Gone for good? Save/Quit, Lausen. :(

But I'll think about it for awhile.

So Any ideas? I'm kind of having a brain fart and can't think of any right now. I could really use any ideas.

I dunno...I know the feeling, though. After I made over 15 puzzles and minigames in A Series Aside, it was hard for me to try to keep coming up with original puzzles and minigames for my next game ideas. It's not easy by any stretch to continue trying to think outside of the box with RPGM3 when you've seemingly run out of ideas that are feasible within the confines/limitations of the software.

I'm planning on (in the future) making a full-fledged CCG/card battler as an RPGM game, but I've not delved into the mechanics of the programming to see if the idea I have is even possible, as I envision it, using RPGM3. We'll see. I might do a "practice run" for this game concept as a part of my contest game.

Sorry I was not able to come up with anything concrete, Lausen. Also, as this is probably for your contest game, I'm not going to give you any ideas, lest you come in first place. :p
