Look at the back of your RPG Maker 3 case!

It says, "Anyone can create a game. Even a child!"

By child, do they mean under 18, or under 10, or under 6, or what? Depending on what they mean by child, it could be a lie. See, by creating a game, I would think it works well, plays a nice storyline that doesn't last only 5-15 hours, and being able to require someone like me, a brainless 16-year-old, to think.

They mean that it is easy to pick up on, and requires just simple logic to figure out. You don't have excessive scripting. And the only math is limited to simple variables and plus and subtract.

It is a good one to start out with.

      Yeah, I know, but I don't understand why there's conflict between which one's better, 2 or 3?

It's a matter of different people wanting different things. If you want simple and easy 3 is better, if you want freedom and function 2 is better.

I have never even seen RPG Maker 2, but I've always wanted to make a game, especially an RPG, so that's why, seeing 3 on shelves at my local GameStop for $19.99, I grabbed it.

I recently got RPGM 2 and I personally believe that the freedom of designing a game is great, but if your not very fluent with RPGM 3 you'll have a lot of problems designing a game in RPGM 2 because of is't complexity, so if your have trouble with RPGM2 I suggest that you either play RPGM 3 more until you learn the more complex designing skills or just get the official guide that has a total walkthrough to create a game so you won't be totaly lost and end up breaking your PS2.
