    My grandmother died yesterday

    It was cancer. The funeral's on sunday.

      We were close as a grandparent and grandkid could get. What else could I say?

        Oh no! You poor dear! You have my deepest sympathies! Death in the family is not easy; believe me, I know!

        I don't know if it's any comfort (or if you're religious or not), but at least she's in heaven now, and she's free from all the pains wrought by cancer (that horrible, cowardly thing of a disease).

        You and yours with be in my prayers.

          Sorry to heart that. I'm coming up on the first anniversary of my grandmother's death.

                I haven't had the privilege to know my grandparents, last time I saw them was in 1987 when I was 5 and its pretty bad I remember my grandfathers truck more then them.
