I've got a 200 gig external hard drive that's ALMOST half-filled with music. Unfortunately, I began filling it up in its default format (long before I purchased my Xbox 360 and PS3). After doing some research, I've come to find out that in order for either system to recognize it as an external drive, I need to format it as FAT 32. So now comes the fun part. I need to transfer all 90 or so gigs of music to my housemate's computer's hard drive in a temporary folder, reformat the hard drive in FAT 32, and then dump all of it back onto the external hard drive. Problem is, through my research, I've found that once it's been formatted FAT 32, you are only able to transfer files at a maximum of 8 gigs. I have a feeling I'm gonna be at this all day.
In the long run, though, it'll be worth it, as it will eliminate the need to keep buying SD cards and flash drives for any music I want to listen to on either of my two consoles, or any porn I want to watch. :3
