I just found this on Wikipedia when I got bored an typed in "BioShock."

Additionally, similar industry rumors suggest a film adaptation of the game will also be made, utilizing similar green screen filming techniques as in the movie 300 to recreate the environments of Rapture.

Uhh....should we worry? I mean, game-adaption movies hasn't really had a good track record. Plus...you-know-who could show up on this project.

(Okay, fine, I'll just say it: Uwe Boll....Wow, I kinda feel bad for making fun of him.)

And yes, I just found out on the same site that a BioShock sequal in confirmed (that's probably not spelled right). Sequals are a shaky thing with me already, so it better be a damn good sequal.

Oh, as an update, this rumor has been confirmed (at least, in the latest issue of Game Informer), as is a MMO version of the game.

Just thought I'd let you know if anyone out there is interested.

Heard more tidbits about the film being directed by the dude who made Hellboy. Dunno if that's true.


But an MMO Bioshock? o_O Wonder how that would work. Course it'd likely be for PC only, never any consoles. My laptop is not meant for gaming.

I think a Bioshock movie has a lot of potential, though really the game kind of already achieved that with a lot of the scenes really mocking the real control you have as a player of the game completely at the will of the creator if he wants you to be. I'm still not sure how it would work though, as just following the game path would be kind of boring, though maybe they follow Fontaine's journey through the story, that would be interesting. I think it has pretty good potential as a post modern horror movie.
