    Lock's Quest

An original RTS from 5th Cell, creators of Drawn to Life.

The player, as an "archineer" (architect/engineer) named Lock, must build walls, turrets, and magical defenses against an army of mechanized invaders, all in the space of two minutes. When that time is up, combat begins, and Lock must battle the enemies directly (using various touch-screen-based activities to determine the success of each attack) and gather more resources in order to keep the invading army at bay.

That sounds like quite a clever concept. I can imagine the tension.

I've got my eye on it.

Sounds like it has the potential to be mind-numbingly easy, or incredibly difficult in later levels. Like, trial and error levels that you have to play fifty times before you work up a good strategy in building for two minutes.

Sounds cool... definitely much better than Kid Nation (*potshot*). I really feel like it would work more as a free Flash game than a Nintendo DS cartridge, but I'm hoping it does well all the same.

I really wish I still played my DS, because this does look cool. Oh, wait....the only thing holding me back from playing my DS is me.

I wonder if I'm the only one who gets headaches and handcraps from playing my DS for more than an hour.

You can take it either way.

Liberal - as in you take every typo and run with it--trying to make it into a joke.

Literal - as in you take whatever I say very seriously, even if it is a typo. hands crapping out. help me out here nixon--we need an illustration.

I let a lot of typos slide right by. I'm just exceedingly ingenuous about it today.

IGN has some new details, including the actual title. They call it "Part Rampart, part Warcraft." And there will be multi-player battles through multi-card play and wi-fi.

                              Re: Construction Combat: Lock's Quest

There isn't anything original about this game, its a rehash of a Tower Defense type of map seen in RTS games (mostly WarCraft III).

However, I admit that it could be fun. But Mora hit the nail on the head, it seems like it would be really stressfull.
