I played Guitar Hero II in a vehicle on a Nintendo DS

It was a very interesting experience.

First, it involved hooking up the mess of wires required in the confines of Gwommy's purple Ford Probe. The A/V cables and power supply for the PS2 both needed adapters, and I didn't even know there was an adapter to play an inputted device on your DS.

The next challenge came from getting the guitar next to me in a playable position, which required me to play almost straight up and at a weird angle. After that, we got the game started and I couldn't read any words on the tiny screen but I knew exactly how to get to "Shout at the Devil" on quick play so I loaded that song.

The notes were painfully small and kinda blurry. Plus the DS was shifting back and forth on the dashboard and bumping up and down with each bump hit. I managed to BARELY pass it on expert. By that time my eyes were kinda sore.

So I decided to try something a little easier: Heart-Shaped Box. I tried putting the DS in my lap because I was getting some glare on the DS when it was on the dashboard. Despite the DS flying out of my lap twice I still managed to get four stars.

As far as I know I might be the only person that has ever tried this. I wish we could have taken pictures or a video, but we didn't have a camera. I might try it again for photo ops.

Kudos for trying...I couldnt pass "easy" on a 32" TV

but then again I only have about an hour of playing time into the game

Here I come Pav, like the Kool-Aid man barging into a funeral! Oh yeah!

The very first song I ever played in the whole GH/Rock Band thing was Surrender in GHII, and I got my first achievement for playing it the first time...."Fail a song on easy"....

Yeah, JPS...it took me about 2 tries before I was able to pass my first song on easy. My major problem is that I do not play GH/Rock band often enough that I can just turn it on, and start out on medium. I need to "warm up" first on easy, even though I can five star everything in that difficulty. By the time I think I've warmed up enough to go to medium, it's usally getting pretty late, and I either want to go to bed, or browse the Pav one last time before going to bed, so I pretty much always play on easy. I'm more in it for the fun than the, "LOOK AT MY SKILLZ" thing. Cos no matter how you slice it, Rock Band (and GH) are just fun games to play.

And JPS....you shoulda held out for the Wii version of Rock Band. As has been mentioned in other threads recently, Rock Band kicks the ass of Guitar Hero.

First time I played Guitar hero was Surrender on Expert. I 5 starred it.

We'll definitely have to that again and get some photos, or even a video for youtube.

Let's all bow before the self-proclaimed brilliance of Mr. Stoopid (Sivart....whatever....). You are my new role model. You five starred the very first song you ever played on Guitar Hero?!?!?! You are so amazing. I really wish I could be as talented as you claim to be at games of the rhythm action genre, because I know now that I really must suck. I'm basking in your glory.
