Prey for five bucks on steam.

    Only this weekend though.

    http://kotaku.com/373784/get-prey-for-495-this-weekend

It's a great game. Get it.

Sure it aint perfect, but I'll hit you with a spoon if you don't give it props for being innovative in a genre that lacks it.

And its only like five bucks you morans.

I heard a few things about it. I heard that it didn't add anything new in later lvels, so it stopped being innovative. I heard that since you can "come back" after dying, there wasn't much of a challenge.

And yes, I have seen the game being played.

EDIT: Von, I think it's PC and 360.

2007's OMG GAME OF THE YAR Bioshock did that, too. And it turned out okay.

The demo on 360 was outstandingly unimpressive.

It's no different than abusing the quicksave/quickload keys. All Prey did was streamline death so instead of staring at a loading screen you kept your hands busy.

And the Xbox 360 version has been 5$ used for a long time. Even the special edition version is the same price (if you can find it).

Still, for 5$ you're pretty much getting this game at a steal.

Don't you play as some Indian mechanic?

                Sounds pretty cool to me.

I should of been paid $5 for playing through the 360 demo. God, that was a chore.

Streamlining the whole f6/f7 quicksave garbage, integrating puzzles into a standard shooter formula, providing a pretty good story with a decent ending that still left things open for a sequel (something Half-Life writers should take notes from) and a fun multiplayer element that still draws a decent sized crowd because the game's handful of weapons are actually balanced so the game doesn't favor one set of equipment over the other.

Believe it or not the game is actually fun, and it has a great atmosphere. It has a great set of puzzles, the gravity walks help shake things up in a Mario Galaxy kind of way, since believe it or not, shooting enemies at different points on gravity is pretty damn fun. And everything else Marcus said, it has a pretty good story.

Um, I hate to be the devil English teacher's advocate, but you used the wrong kinda "prey" in your thread title. That "prey" refuers to what animal is hunted. What you want is "pray" with and A-Y.

                              Sorry!
