    </3 360

My 360 just broke in the middle of me playing it. First the graphics started getting all trippy-colored, then after rebooting it a few times no audio or video came out at all. Has this happened to anyone else / anyone know a way to fix it? The guy at customer service says I need to send it in for repair, but that will take over a month. If that happens, I think I will cry, seeing as I am kind of obsessed with my 360.

Otherwise, console (haha) me so I don't do something crazy in the meantime, like buy a PS3, or better yet a new Xbox.

If you downloaded/bought a lot of things from the marketplace, you won't have access to them when you're playing offline on a new 360.

Just send it in. But make sure to ask them to try to repair and send back your original 360.

As for what to do without the console in the mean time? Get high on life!

Actually, recently some guy was successful into bullying microsoft over the phone and e-mail into transferring his licenses over to his new 360.

I thought that the towel was only good for RRoD problems... Mine is still green, video is just borked. Well it's worth a shot, I guess.

I tried multiple HDMI cables and ports on my TV, its gotta be something wrong with the port on the 360 or even just the video card itself or something.

Er, if it's not red-ringed, the towel fix could probably damage it more.

              try cleaning the ports?

My PS2 did that a few times. cleaned ports, got better.

another time, I just discovered that the video cable came out of the TV.

                        Are they green?

On darker screens in some games it almost looks like the Matrix in the background. Twilight Princess and RE4 at least.

                        Any idea what this is?

Isn't there supposed to be a new fix for RRoD errors? That's the one I hear about most often, and I don't wanna buy one until this has gone completely by the wayside.

I had this exact same problem with my 360 like a over a year ago. I called up microsoft, and the guy told me its the AV cables, I told him, no I think its not, he treated me like an idiot and told me he'd send me new cables and it would fix the problem.

So I got the AV cables and it didn't do a damn thing, I sent it in and they just replaced the console. All of my arcade titles were reset to trial versions. I called up Microsoft and gave up trying since I couldn't understand a damn word they were saying, then a few months back, for some reason they went back to full versions.
