Uh....what the heck happen...? They basically broke the fourth wall to lecture me on a whole slew of different issues.

They basically rushed the last half the game. I was first mad at them not showing what happen after you beat those guys. Did you kill them?

The battle with Waltz was dissappointing. I didn't think that was the final battle with him.

I guess I can just blame it on being a dream, but still, it felt rather weak. And the whole never ending cycle of the dream seemed kinda sad in a way. It means that he was letting Polka die over and over again, without an end.

It is a very beautiful game, and the game was really good, up till the ending. Even though parts of the ending was really touching. But the lectures and confusion dragged it down.

it's a japanese game and all japanese games are either

A: as pretentious as possible and explain the storyline to you directly because the writers think you're too stupid to get it yourself.

or

B: as ambigious as possible and withold information so you can "figure out" the story for yourself even the possible outcomes are infinite which leaves a huge gap open for a sequel that will also be ambigious.

there's never an inbetween. there's either too much closure or not enough.

with that said, i enjoyed the ending (all 45 minutes of it) and the game as well except for the scenes that were filled with sacharine sweet optimistic japanese dialog.
