Forum posts show similar sentiments. One person wrote on a government youth-website forum, "detesto a los emosexuales," which translates as "I hate emosexuals." Emosexual is an obvious play on homosexual, especially in Spanish, where the H is silent.

I also find it funny that they cite a forum as a credible source. Next thing you know we'll be getting quoted.

Anyway, I found an article in spanish that said that emos have to indeed hide if they don't want to be attacked. And girl was stoned (as in, they threw rocks at her, Is there a verb for that? ) by an adult couple who disliked her outfit.
