I'm So Excited! (The concert was amazing!)

I got tickets to see Sevendust on May 16th!

I love those guys. I seen them last year, but my wife didn't get a chance to. Now we got two tickets and we're going to have an amazing time!!!

I love Sevendust. Their energy on stage is amazing and the show I went to last year was one of the best live shows I've seen. It'll take me a while to regain my hearing after the concert is over, that's for sure. The last show I went to I was too close to the mosh pit and I got elbowed and punched (not incredibly hard though) and I had bruises for about two weeks, lol.

    Fun times.

Right on dude, in a few weeks I'm going to be seeing Kanye, Lupe Fiasco, N.E.R.D and Rihanna in Seattle.

Everything up until that point is major ****ing boredom.

I really like Sevendust's sophomore album, Home.

Never really got into any of their other stuff.

I'm sure its badass live, though.

I just saw les claypool a couple weeks ago and it was great!

Home was good. I like Next, Alpha, and the new album Chapter VII Hope & Sorrow is amazing to me. Have you heard Next? That was the album that really got me into them.

I saw Mr. Claypool last night. As usual, his efforts blew my mind. The crowd loved him, even when he ****ed up "here come the bastards" and decided to play something else.

It was a hell of a show, I had a great time. The opening band suuuuuuuucked, but the one that played the inside venue after the show was damn good, from what I heard.

The Van Halen concert I was looking forward to since Christmas was cancelled! They rescheduled it for May 23rd but I'm sure it'll be called off again for good probably.

So to make up for it I bought tickets for Pearl Jam at MSG in June and I can't wait to see that.

I hope at least one of these concerts are good, I haven't been to a good one yet...

No because it was rescheduled. But I'm sure by the time may 23rd rolls around it will be cancelled again and I can get a refund.

According to the website, it was Tim Fite. I didn't care for him at all.

                        Re: I'm So Excited!

                        The concert was amazing!!!

I'm not good at writing reviews for concerts so this is not intended to be a review by any means.

Unlike last time, the opening bands were pretty decent. The first time I seen Sevendust the opening bands really bored me. No offense to them, they all had talent, but they weren't what I was into.

The opening bands this time were Overseen, Neverset, and Blackstone Cherry.

Sevendust is back to the original lineup, Sonny Mayo was replaced with the original guitarist, but I forget his name...

Sevendust opened with the song "Inside" from their newest album that just came out. I think their new album came out in April but I'm not 100% sure on the release date, but it was amazing that almost the entire crowd was singing along to such a new song. In fact, the other two songs they played off the new album (Scapegoat and Prodigal Son) were crowd favorites ALREADY. This is amazing because not even Korn achieves this, when I seen them live I was like the only one singing along to their new songs from the Untitled album.

Off the top of my head, Sevendust also played Waffle, Deathstar, Clueless, Denial, *****, and Black. There were alot more, they played a really long set, we didn't get out of there until after 1am, it must've been a two hour performance or at l east it seemed like it.

The crowd was nuts. Fights broke out in the mosh pit. In fact, one of the dudes in the pit decided it would be fun to annoy one of the bouncers over and over. He got his ass beat HARD by the said bouncer. (At the Machineshop the bouncers are all nice, but if you mess with them, you're asking for it, and they DO punch people down if they need to). Needless to say the moshpit was intense. I've never in my life seen a band that can generate a moshpit on that level, and I've seen more bands live than I can name off the top of my head.

It was surreal. It was my second time seeing Sevendust and my wife's first time. The band generated so much heat that it felt like it was 100 degrees and everyone was a sweaty mess.

My only gripe is that they didn't play Ugly or Fear which are two of my favorite songs.

I'm pretty sure there will be pics of todays show later on and when they're up I'll post it.

Even greater, they are coming back to Michigan in June or July (I forget) and playing Harpo's in Detroit, and my brother in law is going to take me to see them AGAIN.

If you guys like heavy metal you just HAVE to see these guys!!!

                        My ears are still ringing!

Edit: For those wondering, imagine being in a small concert lounge with a loud band, 400+ people, and everyone from the front to the back bouncing around like animals.
