There's likely gonna be a lot more focus on the TFs this time. The only reasons the first movie focused on humans so much was to ease audiences into the transformers, and to give them a sense of wonder. Transformers was a big success, and they know they can dump more money into it now. more money = more robots. a huge cost of the first movie was the development of the character models and animation techniques, a lot of which they can still use in this movie. Barricade hasnt changed, so they can still use his character model. I doubt any of the autobots would have changed either. so the only new models they'll have to do are new characters, and the possibility of a new starscream model (I can't see him taking the same alt mode, being the coward he is)

Bay was talking about a "new species" of transformers being introduced when asked about if the dinobots would appear, so...
