Okay, I'll admit, this is bit of a weird submission.
This is a sort of "intro story" that would be put in my Ke's Tales novel (right before the prologue). I just felt liek posting it here.
“Once there were two kinds of heroes: one that fought in public view and one that fought in secret from the shadows. Though there were a few, insignificant strains between the two groups, both coexisted in harmony.
“But then more and more of the public heroes appeared. They quelled most of the evil in the world and left none for the secret heroes to fight.
“With no purpose left, the secret heroes laid their weapons down, covered their disgrace with prideful dignity, and retreated back into the shadows.”
Yes, yes, I know. It seems a bit pointless. I just saw a bit of poetics behind it.
I kinda got the idea from a Cambodian romance movie called In The Mood For Love (it's okay, but the ending kinda stinks). It used a quote/story too.
