It came out during my video game purchasing "slump". Might look into renting it. What's it about?

Which one? It's a series going all the way back to PS1.

It's about a vampire who took over the world. Then it's about another vampire who came back to life to kick his a**. And there's lots of time travel. Great story, awesome voice acting. It's a shame it's over.

I've mostly played Soul Reaver and Blood Omen 2 (the worst of the series). I briefly played SR2 but it was a rental and I have BO but keep getting lost. I also have Defiance but don't want to play it until I finish SR2... someday.

Really? It always struck me as coming out on the ps2 originally. Either way, I was never the one to buy the ps1 games, my older sister did that. I may look into getting the ps1 version. Too bad there are no nearby rental places that rent out ps1 games.

Soul Reaver is the only one worth playing. It's pretty great except for all the box puzzles. It ends in a big cliff hanger though and the other games arn't good enough to go find out what happens.

Loki, you can't be serious. What's not to like about them? The only bad egg of the bunch is Blood Omen 2.

To be fair Loki is not wrong, SR2 took away the best parts of SR (the exploration and the fact that you couldn't kill your enemies) in favor of linear levels. BO1 doesn't work good on anything not an original PS1. BO2 is a pain and though Defiance tried hard it does feel like a less polished Devil May Cry.

BUT, all that aside the story is superb and I don't see why the same people that love Silent Hill 2 where you don't even have to fight anything and can just run past it and with it's ridiculous voice acting would not want to at least give LoK a chance and see where the story goes.

So Kefka, Soul Reaver is the best one.
