Even though on Gamespot in Rumor Control, it states that it would not be available until April 8 (or thereabouts), I come home from work, and could not sign in until I did the update.
Apparently, it provides more compatibility with transferring playlists from the PSP to the PS3, allows Divx files of over 2 gigs to be played, and makes the PS3 the first and only (as of right now) Blu-Ray player to connect to the internet and access information when Blu-Ray discs compatible with this feature are played (Apparently, Sony has two Blu-Ray movies coming out very soon with this feature, and there are a number of others already compatible with this).
I found it odd that I JUST updated the firmware last Friday (I was holding off on doing so, because I had read some reports of problems people were having after the update), and three days later, there's another firmware update available.
