    Army of Two

Just beat it today. I liked it, but the story mode is too short. For online, I've only played the Extraction mode, but reading the descriptions in the tiny 10 page manual, it seems like it's just 4 players max, two vs two. I'll see how the other modes are. I'm positive making use of the Aggro meter can be better with a live person. The AI was helpful, but not 100%.

I only finished it on Recruit to get used to the game, and to unlock the Virtual Friend achievement (play all levels with the AI partner). So when I start up again on the harder difficulty for those achievements I'll make it so a friend can join in.

Now, as far as moving around and hiding behind objects in this game go, it reminded me a lot of Gears of War (I found myself taking cover in AoT a lot more often than GoW). Except running around was quicker, crouching didn't block my view, pressing Y when near a wall will make you take cover but won't force you to stick onto it, and despite the game not having a button to jump I was able to hop over objects without having to take cover first. And for those who cried it would ruin GoW when I suggested hopping over a wall first, not one character or person online for this game hopped around like rabbits, so it CAN work.

And now, two dead guys spooning after I killed them.

That's ****in' EA for you. Let me guess, it wasn't in color, either, was it?

      No color.

But then again, just about every U.S. booklet is B&W so I'm used to that.

Army of Two is a damn good game. I finished it first on Contractor, I'm not a wussy.

Though it was pretty short if you played it all in one sitting, it's a great example of what games this generation should be - great production values, just long enough to get a good experience without feeling repetitive, decent dialogue and well done gameplay WITH OR WITHOUT a second player. And it's from EA too! Gotta give 'em props.
