So a little bit of backstory is needed here.
Two weeks ago, my brother called me up and told me that his in-laws had a couple neighbors in their trailer park that just up and disappeared about five months ago. The managers of the trailer park decided that the family (mom, dad, and two children) were never coming back, and they hadn't paid lot rental or any other bills in months, either, so they basically told a few people to come and clear out what they wanted before they paid someone to trash everything else and rent the trailer back out.
SOOOOO, he and his wife went and checked it out. They found a TREASURE TROVE of nerdy stuff. Tabletop RPG books in the dozens. Like nearly a hundred tabletop books. Star Wars toys, the big ones from the '70s, DVDs and VHS of every comic book, fantasy, sci-fi movie in existence. They found LARP gear. They found pr0n (terrible pr0n), they found everything. It was amazing.
He decided to go back one more time to clear out another room on Saturday, and I went with him just for a change of pace, and I got all kinds of cool stuff.
I netted a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card that had never been used. I got some Harry Potter hardcovers with it.
I got Asimov's Foundation series.
Starship Troopers by Robert Heinlein.
Novelizations of Gremlins, Battlestar Galactica's '70s series, and Tron.
Couple of Marion Zimmer Bradley novels.
Hardcovers of Lord of the Rings Trilogy and The Hobbit, paperbacks of The Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales.
An awesome bracer that I wore for a full day.
Two different replicas of THE ONE RING.
A $50 fantasy dagger.
A $200 fantasy claymore.
25 Dreamcast games (none of which are any good, or games I already own)
I'm in loot land.
