    Gnarls Barkley: The Odd Couple

for those who care, it's available on iTunes and amazon mp3 (no drm and cheaper!) before the release. Just like the first, I freaking love love love it. I already can't wait for the next one...not many out there mixing gospel, funk, hip-hop, and psychadelic rock.

They had to push up the date three weeks due to a "leak."

    Uh oh...

Oh, and MTV banned their music video, "Smiley Faces."

If this is the same person/people responsible for the song "Crazy"...

they are, but as overplayed as that is, all of their other songs are good.

My school's a capella group did this slow, gentle, ballad of Crazy. It was pretty great.

So, YEAH, I like this dude, and I will listen to his music in a manner.

It failed a certain kind of test, you know, so that it wouldn't result in seizures like that Pokemon episode in Japan. Apparently, the video had a whole bunch of bright colors, and what not.

Was Smiley Faces banned as well? That's an older song of theirs. Not that it really matters, but you might be thinking of their newer video for "Run" which failed the Harding test. It may be re-worked for television.

I like Gnarls, good party music. Crazy was mad overplayed but it's a pretty fun sing-a-long. Me and friend Leigh serenaded an elderly couple while we waited for the bus with our a cappella rendition. It put a smile on their faces. Then again, they did seem to make a point of not sitting next to us on the bus,

2008 has been really good as far as music goes. Vampire Weekend's self-titled, Los Campesinos!'s Hold On Now, Youngster..., the Mountain Goats' Heretic Pride, and the Dodos' Visiter have all been great.

I'm generally indifferent toward Gnarls Barkley, though.

Crazy was overplayed but still a welcome change from all the other horse **** on the radio.

                        I'll probably check this out.

Cee-Lo and Danger Mouse are both great musicians, I should have checked out the first album.
