So, I got House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return....

Or whatever the heck its full name is. Point is, I bought it, and I wasn't sure where to post it, so I made my own topic.

I love this game(s). This was the first time I've ever played 3, I should note. 2 I like more, and seems to have more replayability, but 3 is easier.

Also, I find it interesting that, except in the original, every antagonist since then has had some philosophical insight, and motive for releasing the zombies. I like that.

I just got it today. They really did a great job with the aiming on this one. Defintally shows that light gun games can work.

Man, I love this series. 4 was killer but a little too easy. Those bosses, though. Talk about white knuckle. I can't wait until that one hits a console.

And if the aiming is good that only further proves umbrella chronicle's ineptitude.

Mine too, if only because of holding it tight. I don't know why people dislike the Zapper, I enjoy it a lot. It has a very nice submachine gun feel.

Now, if only I could get my hands on HotD4....



Meanwhile, I've heard complaints that Return has too little bonus features, and I tend to agree. I'm worried that I'll grow bored with it soon. They could have at least included the original House of the Dead... the story would make more sense then.

The original house of the dead would have taken a lot of work to port. the only existing port of it is for the saturn, which is a cluster**** of a machine, and it was a bad port anyways. they would have to rebuild the entire game from the ground up for the Wii.

It's amazing how poor the voice dubbing is for 2. Since everyone is quoting it, I'll join in:

"Don't come!"

Exclaimed as zombies are approaching.

"What's wrong with this city?"

He says it like, "what's wrong with kids these days?" All rhetorical like.

"My friends went inside. But they're not back yet. I told them not to go...."

I love how he says "but they're not back yet" as though they're on a picnic.

And then Goldman at the coliseum:

"People of the AMS,"

"Here is a present from me to you."

And let's not forget his laughing with his mouth closed. It even sounds muffled.
