ATB battle system

    ATB battle system

    is there a way to slow down the wait meter in battle a bit? to make it seem a little more like Final fantasy. not tryin to make a FF clone.....lol, and how do you put towns in the world map, and set warps for them?
    also does any one have any ideas for skills for a:
    Rogue/warrior, Warrior/Dark mage, Warrior/Light mage that i can use?

    Ok. To slow the meters down (no idea why ANYONE would want to do this, but whatever) you just have to set the speed of the character (Agility I think) to a really low number.

    Just say Create New event in the Layout menu. Choose Towns. Either make a new town there. Or just choose the one you want. Place. You're done. No need to make warping events.

    Rogue/warrior, Warrior/Dark mage, Warrior/Light mage that i can use?
    R/W
    Throw Dagger

    W/DM
    I dunno, fireball?

    W/LM
    AGI Up, DEF Up, etc.

        That stuff is kinda/almost cookie cuttered with RM3 (welcome to the Pav!) but if you play with the game/system a bit you'll figure it out.

        Also, agility is a good way to make someone's turn happen faster, and since the game is automatically in "Wait" mode (FF reference) they can really go right after another and its six of one.

        "Haste" is like an agility boost, not a 2x speed effect like in FF games. Also, you could also set an additional ability to an attack spell/skill that lowers agility. This won't always work, but you can use this to somewhat effectively decrease the speed of enemy units while at the same time also dealing damage.

        The thing with skills is its really a blank slate as far as you can be concerned. Being that you basically have three warriors, with one each of the neutral/evil/holy alignment, why not make triplets of skills dividing added effects/costs/effectiveness across depending on the character's disposition. Black=more damage, white=more healing neutral=less costly, for example. As you get more experienced, these things will get easier, and who knows, we all might be referencing YOUR game left and right some day...

          thanks thats a good idea! O and is it possible to make launch pads in towns that'l take the player to other continents?

            Yes! I'm reasonabl sure that the launchpads connect towns, so as long as you have a second town, they can be connected.

            If you just want to dump the player in the middle of nowhere, you could just set up a warp event without a second warp event to return the player to the original location.
