Just read some magazine that states about how the interwebz and downloading anime have contributed in a huge loss amount of money for companies.

That AND generic-teenage-superhero-girl anime.

What do you think? I could care less but go ahead and reply anyway!

Don't they usually make their money off of T-Shirts and other merchandise? I mean, FCFL (or whatever it is) has like 6 episodes yet I see shirts, bags, etc. all over the place.

My buddy and I killed time at Walden Books and we marveled at how depressingly large the manga/anime section is and he concluded that "you can never ever complain that you don't have a girlfriend if you read this stuff."

FLCL, and your probably right. I don't doubt they make a sizable chunk of change charging over $100 for a season (for some anime atleast).

Yeah, my theory is that no matter how sucky an anime is, if they slap a $100 price tag on it, people will grab it up like hot cakes just because it comes across as a "gotta have" item.
