i hate the bgm is there a way to use custom songs???
Love is not something that can be bought it starts small like a seed and as two loving souls cherish the bond they share with one another only then can it blossom into a rose which in itself is as beautiful as love.

You can change which song plays while you're working in the Editor (I'm personally partial to "Castle of Light," "Peaceful Town," and "Snowy")--I think it's in settings.

But you can't use or import any "custom" music. Some people just mute their TV and play an MP3 off their iPod or computer.

A particularly good strategy after you've heard a few storytellers.

Yeah about that: I don't hardly ever use storytellers at all, but when I do, I don't set the actor, I just darken out the ones that aren't talking, or otherwise put the speakers name in the box, that way the normal text sound effect plays, and that one is at least bearable.

So here's my advice to everyone: DON'T DESIGNATE THE ACTOR IN YOUR STORYTELLERS!!! Sure, it gives a different sound to each person talking, and the little text box points the the speaker, but a.)Each and every sound 'voice' sound effect is equally unbearable, and any cumbersome procedure you'd have to go through to get around it is worth it. And b.) Hell, at first, I didn't even notice that the speech bubble pointed to the person talking, as I was too distracted by the wink wink wink, waa, waa, waa!

Maybe we should make a sticky in this forum saying "You cannot put custom songs in RPGM3."

Too many times, this has been asked.

Can we add it to the Look Here Before Asking A Question list, Hito?

I have a good plan, download all the songs you love from other video game favorites of yours online and play those during your game. Who says in Medieval times they didn't listen to the Super Mario Bros. Theme? lol
Please PM or E-mail me any great tips for RPG Maker 3 you may have, or anything helpful. Thanks!

That would work, but you'd have to change the songs in the middle of playing, and if you use an iPod and don't have the songs, it'll cost money. Plus, It'll be, as I stated before, a hassle changing the music on your MP3, etc. every time something new happens.

                        Plan B:

Listen to all your favorite video game music in your head full blast! If you need I can send you some wacky pills to make your dream a reality lol j/k

                        Plan C:

Buy multiple televisions and consoles, one of each at a ratio of 1:1 with each of your favorite games. Plug all of them up on power strips, plug all those in. Turn on all systems simultaneously. Stretch the controllers all in a pile nearby where you are playing. Using your many many new remote controls, mute all games except one. When that song is finished, mute it, and unmute the next. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Unless you have $50,000 yearly coming in to pay for the electric bill and of course enough power to do this, I suggest just putting up with the RPG Maker's music, and making the best of it. I managed to make the Bad Times music play when one ally dies, then at his funeral, play the Quite Tune music. If you need me to explain, pop in RPGM3, go to the options menu, and find the two.

Not meaning to necro an almost-dead thread, but I don't know what you guys are talking about. Maybe compared to professional soundtracks the RPGM3 stuff isn't too good, but it's plenty to set a good mood.
Ashen: What do we even know about these guys?
Val: For one, they're addicted to cliches. Of all the people they could've kidnapped, they decided to take the one adolescent girl in the village. It's just like the storybooks.
