We have an ass-kicking playlist for whenever we play Geometry Wars. Everything from Queen to Yngie Malmsteen to Andrew W.K.

And some Yoko Kanno, of course.

I had Rock DJ by Robbie Williams playing constantly during my time with Pacman CE.

Just for kicks I put on other music while I was playing Rock Band. It's extremely distracting. >_>

It gives me an extreme rush when I play racing games like XGRA at night with the lights off and my glo-blue ps2 controller listening to speedcore! When I am playing RPGM3 in the editor, though, I always seem to be listening to either the forest or jungle BGMs^^
Without darkness, how would you know there is light?

I never do play any other music over my games. Except maybe RPG Maker.

            Then anythign works.

Anytime Halo happens you can be sure "Duel of the Fates" and other epic music plays accordingly.

I have a soundtrack of slow, classical compositions that play while I'm doing mundane things in games, like grinding away magic points in Final Fantasy 6 or wandering the world map in search of rare monsters in Final Fantasy XII. There's only so much of the same song I can take on a field map before I have to get something else.

Queens of the Stone Age, both the Era Vulgaris and Songs for the Deaf Albums are perfect for Gears of War.
