China trying to crack U.S. military computers

    http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/03/03/pen...ina/index.html

So, are we on our way to a world war 3? Do you think theyll use nukes freely? and if so, do you think this will be the one that will wipe a majority of the human race away?

I personally think we're well on our way to a world war 3, nukes wont be used at first, but someone will be trigger happy and will start it, and I think 1/3rd of the world population, if not more, will be killed from nuclear strikes and fallout.

Yeah, the apocolypse is upon us

Let me be more specific, china has already hacked into U.S. military computers and stole information, not classified, but its only a matter of time.

I need to be more specific in these things for people who dont read articles in links.

Has that been proven, or is it just speculation? I hate CNN.

The National Terror Alert Response Center has verified its happened last year, but Ive never heard of this site, I dont know if its government controlled or not(dont think so since its a .com address), but a lot of sites say it has happened.

Aren't they (and several other nations/groups) always doing that? I mean it's just part of politics, you have secrets and there are people trying to get them. Just like we're always doing whatever we can to "gather intelligence" on our enemies.

Yeah, but I'm guessing hacking into secure government computers would be considered a security risk of the country, which could be taken as a terrorist action and could be considered an act of war if they wanted.

That's not all. I also heard that four people were convicted of trying to sell classified information (like specifics on the B-1 bomber) to China.

Re: China trying to crack U.S. military computers

Espionage is nothing new, and a lot of countries (the US included) are doing it. China didn't even break into any classified systems. This is no big news.

And I personally don't see a World War between the US and China anytime soon; the West needs China, and to a lesser extent, China needs the West. Hopefully the two "superpowers" will learn to cooperate, to make the world a better place.

At the very least, I think the two countries should be able to maintain a tenuous peace. Neither nation wants WW3.

ww3 will start from the middle east, and if nukes are used it wont be any "1/3 of the population dying," itll be "the whole planet dying."

china has so much economic power of the US that its not even funny. they are purposely keeping their currency undervalued. once they decided to stop doing that they will crash the entire US market, they wont need no stupid nukes.
