For the love of... Will anyone help me out with this one? I had everything under control. I had all 5 of the shrines taken, and the Lich Lord was dead. I seriously had Shiro at about a pixel's width of health when I died. Of course, whenever I die... All hell breaks loose. After 3 agonizing minutes, my whole team of henchies died. I almost threw my laptop. ...Almost.

Prophecies? No. Nightfall. It's a mission where you not only have to fight the Lich from Prophecies, but you also have to fight a very difficult Shiro Tagachi. GWWiki it.

I had to get a couple former guildies to help me. But you couldn't pay me enough to do that quest over again.

If beating Nightfall weren't so tempting, I'd probably never do the mission. I have a screen of just how CLOSE I was to winning that I'll post in a minute or two.

You do know you can totally skip Shiros forces (the enemies he sends at you)

Park your heroes and go and trigger the event, run back the the heroes and wait for the enemies to meet eachother.

Then just run through the gate.

I... Finally... Beat it... OH THANK GOD. I'm never... Never... NEVER EVER EVER... Doing that mission again. I don't care if my life is dependent upon completing the mission again or not. That was like going into hell, poking the devil's ass with a stick and then running back out giggling like a mad man. But at least I beat it.

Haven't gotten that far in Nightfall yet (as of late I almost exclusively play PvP), but I remember in Factions Shiro was ridiculously prone to hexes like Empathy and Spiteful Spirit. Would that work on the "Nightfall" Shiro?

They did, but the problem was that if you were removing his stance, Impossible Odds, whenever he went into it, you'd be kinda-sorta... Screwed. It doesn't help that if you mess thigns up, you wind up fighting him AND the Lich Lord from Prophecies silmultaneously.
