Is the thin PSP worth the extra $$$?

Considering using my tax return to get one and FFT:LW, though if I get the older style I'd have 20-30 more to buy an extra game with. So tell me, which is a better purchase?

Depends on what you plan to do with your PSP.

A: Play games/multimedia/internet stuff: get the thin. The extra ram is used to cut down on loading times, the battery effeciency is better, and the sound holes aren't covered by your thumbs.

B: Mod it, get a fat. You can mod your PSP thin but it requires a pandora battery which can only be made by a fat PSP or purchased online. Modding your PSP usually puts you behind the firmware curve (although the latest firmware just got hacked) and there's always a slight chance of bricking your PSP but I like being able to rip my UMDs so they can play them off my memory sticks and I also play my ripped psone collection on it.

I'm fine with my regular PSP and don't feel a need to upgrade.

Though the slim you can hook up to a television set.

I'd personally say the regular, because I like the bigger screen size.

No, I'm genuinely surprised. :O I would think that the newer one had a bigger screen.

            Edit: They're the same size.

              I'm an idiot.

I did some research and the slim has a 4.3 inch screen just like the regular psp.

I just remember playing my buddies slim and thinking it was smaller.

What about hands-on? Kirin has a thin PSP, and her hand gets cramps trying to use the analog thumb pad. Is it the same with the old one, or is it easier to grip because of the thickness?

The analog nub sucks no matter what. Get the thin and if you have a compatible TV, you could play FFT on the big screen. :3

I've never had problems getting cramps in my hands on the PSP slim until i played Wipeout Pulse the other day. My hands got a little tired.

Slim PSPs can use skype. fat PSPs cannot.

probably other stuff that will be added down the road that require the slim's additional RAM like skype does as well.

I prefer the more solid construction, more responsive buttons, and reduced weight of the slim, but I miss the back of the original model that didnt smudge and was easier to grip.

Heeeeeeeeey man. Wanna buy a Slim Sliver PSP off me? Its the Daxter Pack. I bought a PSP for somebody for christmas a few months in advance, but lo and behold somebody else got them the same damn thing, and it was way past the receipts time to bring it back to the store for a refund. I tried, but even though its still in the ****ing air tight sealed package they wont take it. Its just been sitting in my closet.

EBgames would just rip me off on it, and Ive been thinking about selling it in the paper. You want it? I bought it for $228CAN(LOL TAXES), but Ill just drop it to $200 even. :3

It includes everything right? Daxter and the 1 gb card?
