City of Heroes/Villains was the main MMO that appealed to me but I couldn't play it because of my lame laptop. I was excited for Marvel Universe Online but then it got cancelled. But hey, Cryptic's not gonna let me down. They've announced Champions Online (http://www.champions-online.com/) for PC and 360 coming next Spring.

It's based on the Champions pen and paper RPG (http://www.herogames.com/home.htm;jsessionid=atMXjovxjhC4) but won't use the same ruleset. What it will have is even more character customization than CoX. More freedom to choose your powers and even the looks of your powers. And not only will you create your character but also their archenemy. Also they claim the battle system will be "furious, fast-paced encounters previously reserved for action and fighting games."

Check out the trailer (http://www.champions-online.com/trailer) to see the cel-shaded graphics style.

It may just end up be an updated CoH available on a console but that's all I want out of it. I'm looking forward to it but I've got a year to wait, if it doesn't get delayed.

Definitely VERY interested in this, since it will have all of the customizability that CoH should have had, and the areas appear as though they will have more variety.

Rate My Champion (http://www.champions-online.com/rate_my_champion/)

It's a little competition they're doing where you rate champions made in the beta version of the game. Most of all it's a good way to see the varied characters you can create. Here's the current top 10.

As much as I hate to admit I'm willing to jump into another one of these timesinks... I'm probably going to start this game up as soon as it comes out, even my husband is interested in it and he despises MMOs.

This is defintally the only online mmorpg I am looking forward too. Can't wait to recreate my City of Villians char as my archnemisis.

I really wish my character would show up in that list ( =o) )cause I think i made an awesome character, that looks cooler and more original than that blasted reindeer.

And trust me guys, the beta right now is only for the truly dedicated, cause they need to fix ALOT, but if they can smooth out the wrinkles, it will be BETTER than CoH/V, and could easily rival WoW, but just doesnt have the same mass market appeal.
