it was gaining attention and speed so square had to cut it off. square owns the rights so it has to be them that authorize a sequel. would of been nice to see the fan project pan out, but neither it nor a real remake seem likely.

Thank you Ωbright for the sig fix!

I would have loved to have played this.

But instead we ended up with Chrono Cross.

              Re: Chrono Resurrection

I'm playing Chrono Trigger as we speak. From what I've seen, aside from the dragonball z-reminiscient character portraits, it's a great game. I'll probably get slowly depressed throughout the day.

                Re: Chrono Resurrection

Akira Toriyama designed DBZ and CT. Plus just about everything he does looks exactly the same.

And if you're playing the PS1 version, the load times for each battle are awful. @_@

What are you talking about?! The character portraits arn't dragonball z-reminiscient at all!

Edit: Way to ruin it, Goufunaki.

I dont understand why they dont make a sequel...or even a remake...they would make so much money off of it it wouldnt be funny.

Here I come Pav, like the Kool-Aid man barging into a funeral! Oh yeah!

                        Re: Chrono Resurrection

Chrono reminded me of someone in DBZ, I just can't remember who. All I know is that it was an instant connection between the two characters. Lucca reminds me a bit of Bulma, Marle... I can't remember who, but when I saw her portrait it reminded me of someone. Chi Chi? Meh. Magus looks like one of those fresh villains from DBZ. Yeah, I said fresh. Hell, Alyla looks like somsone from DBZ also..

@JPS: Especially since, like Gou says, the load times are pretty bad on the ps1 version. And with the SNES version somewhat of a rarity, what's stopping them from making a remake?

                          Re: Chrono Resurrection

Square's too far gone for that. I'm happy with the Chrono games we got.

And CT has got to be Toriyama's best work by far.

                            Re: Chrono Resurrection

i guess they dont wana ruin the game series since its still one of the top games ever made. also the original team isnt together anymore, they probably dont have a good script for it either, and there is many other projects they rather work on such as more bloody final fantasies. other then that its hard to say other then they just dont wana.

I'll never understand why people complain so much about the PS1 CT load times. They aren't that long, stop being so impatient. Sheesh.
