    REP?

    I recently was looking into how to use the REP-System and I figured out how to add Positive-Rep but how do I add Negative-Rep?

    You can't anymore, Valk recently (as in two days ago) removed Negative Rep from the system.

              Me? I'm rejoicing, because now only my rep can go up.

              But in another way I'm depressed because its going to allow for a lot more smart*** comments without threat of repercussions.

                  neg rep gone is a major improvement, it gets rid of the pathetic bullying and removes a lot of the pointless drama. if you have a problem with someones post then state so, neg reping never solved anything since it almost always was given with a single word or in many cases, just a single ~

                  the pavilion could use the boost of positivity, and this is a great way to encourage it. im glad valk decided to scrap it once and for all, and im sure the many people who where constant targets of abuse are pleasantly surprised too. we are all part of the same community here, just try to get along.

                        Ha ha! JPS can't get his dongle hard.

                        And Karr, I don't know about you but I always say a lot in my negative rep, and I've always gotten messages in the negative rep I've received. I miss it.

                          If you repeatedly spam or flood the boards with irrelevant, nonsense replies and/or new topics, or flame (insult) someone on the board, you're likely going to get in trouble for it."

                          this rule still applies so there is still repercussions, just they wont be given any different then they where before. neg rep never changed this, though the rules are lax here.

                          im guilty of not saying much in my neg rep, since i never give it out unless its in "revenge" for bad neg rep. i accept negative rep given for legitimate reasons, in which case i tried to avoid making the mistake in the future. overall i found the whole neg rep thing throughly abused with a large number of pavilionites who where the victims of neg rep bulling, being neged just because some idiot didnt like you.

                            We've all seen how much people are punished for flaming others

                            And Im not even going to bring up irrelevant posts, we've had plenty of people do that, such as LC a few posts up, and people digging up long-dead posts just for a "harhar"...and nothing ever happens to them.
