Does anybody know anywhere online I can get a Wii at retail price that isnt sold out? Ive been to every department store website and theyre all sold out...Every store around here is completely sold out, they say people follow the UPS trucks around and snatches them up before they even get on the shelves, the "1 console per person" thing is a joke because I had an employee tell me they get 6-7 in every week and the same guy follows the UPS truck around and buys all of them as soon as theyre unloaded.

Re: wiI Is Desperate
I know if you go to Sears.com (plugging my workplace a bit), and type in your zip code, it'll give you the location of the nearest store, and tell you if there are any currently in stock. However, you NEED to call the store before you place an order in case the counts are bad, one was returned and not taken out of inventory, one is sitting on hold, etc. But if you call and they have them, place an order on Sears.com using a credit card, and it'll print a ticket out at the store with your name on it. It will be pulled from the floor and placed at merchandise pickup until you come in and pick it up. As long as you have paid for it, it'll be sitting there waiting for you.
But I'm pretty sure any retailer who stocks Wiis usually will not allow one to be placed on hold for you to come and pick it up. But if you pay for it in advance, it's all yours.

Re: wiI Is Desperate
If you really want one, follow this strategy:
Find a store closest to your house that sells video games. ((Or at your work if you work in the morning.))
Get their number and their store hours or delivery times.
Call every single morning when they open. Every single morning. They'll get annoyed probably but oh well.
If/when they say they got some that are in stock, drop what you are doing immediately and pick it up.
It's a good strategy and it worked for me.

Re: wiI Is Desperate, and expensive!
I got a Wii finally, someone at work was selling one for $400, this is what I got with it:
- Wii
- Nunchuk and wiimote
- classic controller
- wii sports
- twilight princess
- mario galaxy
- mario brothers 1
- mario brothers 2
- mario world
- legend of zelda: a link to the past
- kid icarus
- punchout
- Component cables(whichever set has the red, green and blue inputs)
Then I went out and got mario party 8 and an extra wiimote and a nunchuck, which cost another $110
So all together I spent $510, not too bad I guess considering what I got.

From the Wii menu, you'll see a mail envelope on the bottom right corner. click that.Originally posted by JPS View PostHow do I get my friend code? I got access online now through my wireless, I just cant figure out how to find my friend code
From there, you'll see an icon with a pen and paper. "Create message". click that.
On the right, you'll see Address Book. go to that. It'll tell you your console friend code. Then when you click the arrows on the side, you'll find empty spaces to add people.
I'll add ya. So far only Nix, Den, and Valk wanted to be friends with my Wii.Last edited by Goufunaki; 02-20-2008, 12:21 AM.

Do not double post. don't post directly after your own post in the hopes of adding something to what you've already said. Instead, just edit the post you've already made
