    Come on, Nintendo.

Their amazing, spectacular handheld that was set to completely blow away the PSP x 1000 is actually just a small GBA. I know 9/10 of you guys will buy it simply because Nintendo can do no wrong, but honestly. A smaller version of the GBA? Am I the only one who feels that Nintendo didn't follow up on the insane hype?

Here is what Gamespot says about the amazing revelation of the Micro at E3:

Nintendo also revealed a new edition of its Game Boy Advance handheld. The Game Boy Micro shrinks the already diminutive Game Boy Advance down further, and still retains the functions of the Game Boy Advance SP. The unit is slightly larger than an iPod mini at four inches wide, two inches tall, and .7 inches deep, and can fit easily into gamer's back pockets.

The unit, which weighs a mere 2.8 ounces, will play all Game Boy Advance games and will have customizable faceplates. However, there are no new multimedia functions to speak of. As Fils-Aime put it, the Micro is "a hip new way to show off your portable passion." The Micro will be released this fall.

the gameboy micro is absolutely stupid.

and really, Nintendo doesnt have to blow away the PSP, they've been doing that since day one (despite launching so closely together in japan, the sales are 4:1 in DS' favor) they just have to keep up whatever the hell it is that keeps the DS selling so well.

and I say "whatever the hell it is", because I cannot even begin to imagine why the DS is selling at all.

well, from what I've heard, it's Kirby's and Nintendogs's doing. I wonder if those 2 titles will be as big here in the states.
