    more computer trouble

Can we all just agree that computers suck a**?

Anyway, my laptop has suddenly decided that it doesn't read DVDs anymore, video or data. I'm not sure when this started but I do believe it was just yesterday I last used one, or the day before at the absolute most. I've tried taking out and putting back the drive, un/reinstalling the driver, and checking Dell for another driver. Any other suggestions?

Dude, you got a Dell. Seriously, you might try cleaning the laser, but I think after that failing that it may just be a dead drive. So it might be time to complain to Dell and try to get a replacement drive, or if it's beyond warranty, aboud $40-60 for a replacement drive (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...lue=365%3A8690) or a little bit more for an external DVD drive. Only other suggestion I have might be trying to reinstall windows, but don't have a lot of faith that will fix the problem.
