stimulus package - wacha gonna buy?

The Senate accord -- reached after days of bickering and passed by 91-6 -- keeps the House-passed rebate check amounts of $300 to $600 for people who have an income between $3,000 and $75,000, plus $300 per child.

So...wacha gonna buy? I haven't decided myself. I want to buy something commercial though, so that the money is put toward what it's supposed to do in the first place.

our goverment would never give free money away, unless its to their buddies. canada needs a stimulus bill, one that would pay off my student loan for me.

I dont know what Im going to do with it yet, probably buy a cheap 2nd car and get my comp upgraded quite a bit and throw the rest into savings.

@Karr - The US would never have free healthcare, especially when just walking into a hospital costs you $200

Save it for when I move into a new apartment in a few months. Will help with getting a washer and dryer. My refund should take care of a new TV .

And I would not expect this to happen more than once. It's just an attempt to try to stave of the recession we're supposedly going into, and stimulate the economy by flooding it with money. So hello free money and a bigger deficit. Just hope it actual works or we might be headed for a larger recession than was originally planned.

So it's not 'free' money, given it's devaluing the dollar and increasing the national debt. Hopefully it will stimulate the economy but we'll see.
