    A few questions...

Hey guys I just have a few questions before I get this game:

    1. Can you edit sprites? What about the pictures you see in battle? And can you make your own buildings?

    2. Where can I get this game?

You can edit and change anything you want. That's one of the biggest advantages of RPG Maker XP over the console versions.

You can buy the program here

RPG Maker XP costs about $100 in Japan, so you're actually getting it for $40 cheaper then normal; however, the Japan version includes several sample RPGs not in the NA version. Most games cost between $50-70 while most production programs cost $100 to $1500, so I don't understand why you think $60 is expensive.

RPG Maker VX (an upgraded version RPGMXP designed for Vista) will be out soon with a suggested retail price of $100. I'm hoping the NA version will be $60 as well, since it makes no sense to charge more for people to upgrade a program they already have or for people to spend $40 dollars more for a few improvements.

Anyway, if you think $60 is too much to pay for a program with as much power and potential as RPG Maker XP, then you're probably not the kind of person that should have it. If making an RPG isn't something that you'd be willing to dedicate your life to then don't bother doing at at all.
